I was expecting a more woody, cedar-like smell, however I was surprised that it smells dominantly herbal. Anyways, I still like how it smells and I loved the results with a matt hair texture. Can be rigid to handle at first, but you'll get used to it. Works better on dry hair.

My husband usually uses Living Proof styling paste, but he recently noticed that it irritates his scalp and skin on a hairline, so he decided to try something more natural. Giovanni's styling clay has pretty much the same composition, it's not sticky and holds great. It's gentle and doesn't irritate sensitive skin, but the scent is too basic and reminds me of a cheap men fragrance. The great thing is the scent doesn't stay long and you cannot feel it in half an hour. Other than that- it's a decent product.
