The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

In 1992 fresh out of college and without jobs, Rich and Nyema embarked on a mission to produce luxurious natural products from traditional African recipes with fair trade ingredients. Today Nubian Heritage offers culturally authentic natural products inspired by global ancient healing philosophies. Although Nubian Heritage products are no longer made in bath tubs, little else has changed; the company still makes its own products, still uses fair trade ingredients and still invests in community commerce.
Heritage
Abyssinian Oil was made famous by Queen of Sheba, the ruler of ancient Ethiopia. Ancient superfoods, Chia Seeds and Amaranth Extract have been cultivated since the 16th century while Ginseng, rich in vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals, is used in traditional Chinese medicine.
